⬢ Personality:
Azula is largely the product of her abusive home life and family situation. Ambition and perfection was praised while things like empathy and sympathy were considered weaknesses. Her father wanted her to be the perfect weapon and so she pushed herself constantly to be what he expected of her. Even at the cost of her own emotional needs. And after her mother vanished leaving Azula only with memories of her disappointment and scorn, the Princess grew up believing that she was a monster, but a monster that was better then everyone else and they should know it.
Over the series we see Azula as a cold calculating perfectionist, perfectly comfortable with not only commanding soldiers and citizens alike without shame or compassion. She threatens them with death for failing to meet her high standards and even at one point manipulates a secret police force into arresting their former leader and installing her as the new ruler. When Azula is on her A game she is several steps ahead of her enemies and will savor rubbing their humiliation in their face when it's over.
There is another side to Azula though, for as confident as she is there is an insecure part of her that festers over time, blooming into a full on paranoia and anxiety complex. Her failure at the hands of her brother and a Water Tribe peasant was a crushing blow to her already fractured ego, but the real damage began when her two best friends betrayed her.
Azula had when she was very young become friends with two incredibly talented and dangerous girls. Their friendship was years of bullying and unhealthy behaviors, but it was the closest thing to real friendship she'd ever known. Unfortunately due to her own meddling and manipulations her friend Mai fell in love with Azula's brother Zuko. And so when the time came for Azula to demand Mai betray Zuko and kill him, Mai betrayed Azula. And when Azula tried to punish Mai (possibly kill her?) Ty Lee betrayed Azula leaving her helpless and furious on the ground. She had the two of them arrested promptly.
That began Azula's spiral into madness. Hallucinations, paranoia over being betrayed, erratic mood swings. The more pressure built on her the worse it got culminating into a massive emotional breakdown and her defeat. After that she was able to start building herself back up, struggling to find coping mechanisms for a life where she had to acknowledge she is flawed. She is imperfect and she has to find a new purpose.
⬢ Powers:
Fire Bending: Azula like many others in her world has the ability to create and manipulate fire. Unlike most people however Azula is particularly skilled and powerful at it. Aside from being able to produce massive amounts of it, her flames are also noted for being blue rather then orange or red like most Firebenders in her world. It is speculated this is because her flames are somehow more pure. (Probably just aesthetic though.) She can produce fire from her hands, feet and even her mouth.
Lightning (Bending?): Azula has studied and practiced her Firebending to such a degree she is able to produce and manipulate lightning as well. The technique is considered very volatile and dangerous even to attempt and in theory can only be done by someone who is extremely skilled and precise...although Azula has shown to be able to do it even when she is having a sort of emotional breakdown.
Martial Arts: Naturally athletic Azula was trained in combat by some of the best tutors and mentors the Fire Nation Royal Family could afford. Azula has been shown to hold her own in unarmed combat without the use of her bending even if it is her preferred method of destruction.
⬢ Inventory:
At the time she was pulled from canon Azula was wearing some high quality traveling clothes in the fire nations various shades of red and hints of gold detailing. This came complete with a sash for her waist, black leather armbands, leg wraps and shoes of equal quality.
She left in such a hurry she doesn't have anything else on her person save for some simple red silk ribbons to tie her hair up when needed.
Her other outfit is a Lighter more summer fun sort of look. Complete with necklace, armband and accessories made of real gold and quality materials.
As for shirts from the library she can have 1 and 3 please.
